Welcome to the Java Blog, written by researchers and developers from around the world with the sole purpose of talking about Java.

We’re aiming this blog at other Java developers with the hope of generating discussions around some of the deeper aspects of writing code. We’ll also talk about some common third party libraries that every developer eventually uses, collating lots of great tutorials and, of course, ranting about pitfalls we encounter.

What we absolutely don’t want is for this blog to turn into an announcement list of new Java features, Eclipse/NetBeans upgrades and arguments about which language is The Best One™. We’ll try to keep posts short, but expect sample code most of the time.
